Opinions and My Interests!

South Dakota Straight Talk is a website presenting opinions and items of interest to its author.

The intent of this blog is to present items, articles, comments and opinion that are in the author’s opinion relevant to Public Affairs, Public Policy and Politics including subjects on economics and the popular culture. The focus will be on International, National, State and Local Issues.

What this blog is NOT  -  It is not about GOTCHA politics,  it is  not about the personalities of politicians and elected officials and it is not about the failings of the main stream media. Nor is it about the author and his daily activities.

There is a widespread  belief that to be relevant blogs must post daily to be fresh and interesting.  I do not plan to necessarily post every day but I do hope to be  relevant and interesting.  Links to the comments, columns and opinions of others maybe updated daily. It is just that I both do not like having to be  somewhere every day and just do not  have that much original thought every day.  I liken this to either being in a bowling league and having to be somewhere every Tuesday evening at 7:30 or to being the track handicapper at the racetrack who must pick the winners in every race despite the fact that he may not have a decisive opinion about every race.

As with any endeavor I hope this one will have some success, I leave that to the readers' judgement whether it is or not.  Your comments are welcome; please let me know what you like and what you don’t like.

For my part, I know I will be better for having my say.
